About AfroHabesha Outdoors
AfroHabesha Outdoors was founded by Haile and Yeti. After moving from Ethiopia to Colorado, Haile tried skiing and hiking for the first time and completely fell in love with the mountains.
When Yeti joined him, she was hesitant at first, but before long, she found her own connection to the outdoors and fell in love with it. What began as small group outings has evolved into a thriving community.
Today, our mission is to expand access to outdoor spaces and experiences to the Ethiopian Community in Colorado. Now we’re celebrating our 3rd Ethiopian Ski Day, and it grows every single year. We’re excited to teach, support, and help more people try skiing for the first time.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Ethiopian Ski Day does not charge anything; it’s simply Ethiopians interested in skiing and snowboarding meeting up; lessons are available from the resort; attendees must buy their own lift pass; and there is no official affiliation with the resort, just Ethiopian ski enthusiasts from Colorado and across the US.
